A fresh face for Worthing

Montague Quarter Logo
10th July 2017

Popular shopping destination The Montague Shopping Centre is to be renamed ‘Montague Quarter’ as part of plans to transform the shopping precinct into a new restaurant quarter in the centre of Worthing.

Located in the heart of Worthing, The Montague Shopping Centre connects Chapel Road with Montague Place and the seafront. In June 2016, owner NewRiver REIT was granted planning permission by Adur & Worthing Borough Council to transform the centre into a modern restaurant quarter.

In advance of works commencing on the planned development, NewRiver REIT is pleased to reveal that the shopping centre is to be given a new name – Montague Quarter. Alongside this will be an exciting logo reflecting the centre’s importance in Worthing, with the logo featuring the distinctive half-moon glass façade added as a decorative motif, a recognisable landmark within the area.

With a colour palette of aubergine and antique bronze, the brand represents NewRiver’s vision of a high-quality restaurant quarter within the town, revitalizing the town centre. The plans are attracting interest and demand from leading national restaurant operators, with announcements to be made in due course.

Ian Goodridge, Centre Manager of Montague Quarter commented, “The new brand is the first step towards changing the face of an iconic shopping destination in Worthing. There has been a lot of work behind the scenes to ensure that the brand clearly represents the centre and Worthing as a destination.”
